Construction Contracts Manager
Joel is one of the newest members of the Rigby team, from the day he left school has dedicated himself to the Construction Industry.
He started work from school as an Apprentice Joiner obtaining his NVQ level 3 in Site Joinery, he holds SMSTS and other accreditations and is keen to continue his CPD carrying out many different courses in his own time.
With over 15 years experience in the industry and site management he has a sound knowledge and skill set, whether it be reactive maintenance or a large project, Joel will liaise with everyone from clients, project designers, contractors and labourers to ensure works are completed to a high standard, within budget and ontime.
Construction Contracts Manager
Derek joined Rigby Building Contractors at the end of 2021, bringing with him a wealth of experience in all sectors of the Construction Industry.
He has been heavily involved with both reactive and planned maintenance projects for over 30 years, starting as a time served Joiner and working through the ranks up to Contracts Manager; a position he has held for the past 20 years.
Derek is very approachable and offers a dedicated service to meet all our Clients high standards of expectation, including the health, safety and welfare associated with the works. He became a full member of the Chartered Institute Of Building in 2021, which is reflected in his professional approach to his work.
Fire & Security Contracts Manager
Peter Joined Rigby Electrical Limited in 2011 and heads up our Fire and Security Department.
His emphasis is on giving you a precise and honest appraisal of what you actually need to keep your buildings safe and compliant.
His enthusiasm and expertise ensures we maintain our BAFE Compliance and he has recently applied for the BAFE Emergency Lighting Accreditation.
Electrical Contracts Manager
Daniel has over 20 years’ experience working at Rigby Electrical Ltd. He joined the team as an apprentice and is now Contracts Manager.
He is a capable, accomplished and proactive manager who is highly respected by staff and clients. He has a wealth of experience of all electrical installations and maintenance. Daniel has supervised contracts of up to £1million in value.
He manages our site labour, ensuring that all projects follow the objectives of Method Statements and Risk Assessments. Furthermore, he organises resources and liaises with clients to ensure the smooth running and completion of contracts within the time scale allowed. Daniel is a highly qualified individual who continues to develop himself as part of his CPD.
Managing Director Construction
Darren has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry.
He started his career as bricklayer, then progressed to Projects Manager at a local construction company.
Darren Rigby and Martin Oakley founded the Construction in 1996, and Darren was heavily involved in managing the majority of contracts ranging in value from £1k to £2m for both public and private clients. They were joined in 2004 by Darren Middleton, who set up a sister company to deal with the demand for M&E works brought on by the now developing construction company.
His proactive attitude and active involvement in Contract Management and estimating ensures that our clients are put first. Darren believes that quality and safety are fundamental to delivering first class contracts.
Highly respected for his technical knowledge, he provides the necessary support and guidance that our site teams need for the successful completion of projects.
Lisa joined the Rigby team in 2017. In her role as Finance Director she manages Rigby Electrical and Rigby Building internal accounting functions.
Her career in Accountancy started 1993 with a wealth of experience in Retail, Manufacturing and Construction sectors she takes a proactive “can do approach” to everything she does.
In addition to maintaining the financial functions of the business Lisa takes an active involvement in the general management of the organisation working closely with the Shareholders to grow, develop and futurepoof the Team and Business.
Managing Director Electrical
Darren Middleton and Darren Rigby founded Rigby Electrical in 2000, this facilitated Rigby Group to become a one stop shop for Electrical and Construction projects.
Darren Middleton’s active involvement and ‘hands on’ approach to contract management and estimating, ensures that he keeps a tight rein on delivering a quality service from quotation stage to contract completion.
After working for over thirty years in the construction industry, Darren has gained valuable experience which helps him to steer Rigby Electrical towards continued growth and success.
Thanks to his wealth of experience handling major public and private contracts Darren is perfectly positioned to be able govern any stature of works which may come his way.

About the Admin Team
The Rigby Group Admin Team have all worked within the Construction Industry for many years and have over thirty years knowledge between them.
Between them, their skill set is wide ranging, including knowledge of logistics, procurement, planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Having worked in both large corporations and owner managed businesses, they have the insight and ability to adapt to most situations they may encounter.
So with Irene’s logistical and organisational skills, Andrea’s knowledge of finance, and Dawn and Charlotte’s in depth knowledge of works scheduling, servicing, fire and security, the Rigby Group Admin Team has all bases covered.
